Privacy Policy

This is the personal website and blog of Sameera Abeywickrama. It collects very little about you, shows no advertising, and does not track you across other websites. This page explains what is collected, and why.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, the site stores the email address you enter so it can send you new posts. Subscription uses double opt-in: you are only added after you click the link in a confirmation email. Addresses are stored and emails are sent through Resend. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Bot protection

The newsletter signup form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which helps tell real people apart from bots. It runs invisibly, with nothing to click. For details of what Cloudflare processes to do this, see Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Privacy Policy.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are popular. It is privacy-friendly: it sets no cookies, collects no personal information, and does not track you across other sites. See Vercel's privacy and compliance notice for details.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and browser type, to serve the site and keep it secure and reliable.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no tracking cookies. Your theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device. Cloudflare Turnstile may set strictly necessary cookies as part of its bot check.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time from any newsletter email. To ask what data is held about you, or to have it removed, get in touch through the links on the About page.
